Green tea is a calorie free substitute for coffee, and it never hurt to cut some unnecessary calories. It can also help raise your metabolism which results in burning calories more efficiently. There are many benefits to green tea medicinally, and it will do no harm to you if you take up drinking it.
I've found that drinking it as well as having a balanced diet and excersise plan has increased my weight loss. Before adding green tea to my diet I don't think I would have lost as much in the same period of time
